If you are 65 years of age or older, and you own and occupy your primary residence, you qualify for a property tax exemption.  Your amount of exemption is dependent upon your income.  Click here for the Over 65 application form.  To apply in person at the Property Tax office at the Courthouse or at the Hayden Satellite office, please contact our Assessing and Collecting office to find out what documentation is required. 

This exemption must be renewed each year by December 31st of every year to qualify for the following year.  The Assessing and Collecting office mails exemption renewal notices each year approximately in mid-September. If you do not receive your renewal notice, please contact us.  If you do not reapply each year, the exemption is removed.
